Lucy Spraggan Tour Diary 1/2

Hello lovelies!

What a few weeks it has been!!

I am just about going on half way through a UK & Ireland headline tour with the uber talented Lucy Spraggan. So far it has been an epic tour.

We had a full week of rehearsals at The Ritz studios which was a blast! Such talented musicians in the band and working with an amazing crew. Lucy had already been gigging and touring this year with her bass player, Matt Aston, and drummer, Alex Torjussen. So me and the guitarist, Scott McKeon, were the newbies going in.

My set up: I programmed everything on my Korg Kronos, and have the Korg X50 linked up via midi on top too. The Kronos is amazing, it’s so easy to programme and edit to create the exact sound you’re looking for and the set list mode makes live performance swift and worry free - the big touch screen is the real bonus, everything is clear and easy to navigate to. I love it!

The tour started in Margate on the 21st of October travelling around to Leeds, Sheffield, Leicester, Birmingham, Manchester and then London Shepherds Bush Empire last night. The shows have been awesome!! Lucy sounds incredible and has great banter on stage. The crowds have been so loud and epic too! At the London show there was even a proposal in the audience!!-and yes, she said yes! :)

What’s also great about this tour is that we don’t have catering but a buy-out which forces us to go out and find food, at the same time check out and look around the places we’re in. My favourite so far were Leeds and Manchester - great shopping spots ;) (not good for my bank balance though!)

Tomorrow, the second half commences. I can’t wait to get on the tour bus, but I know it’ll fly by and will all be over way too soon. But till then, if we’re coming to a show near you - would be great to see you there!

I’ma leave you with a YouTube vid of Mountains from Sheffield O2 Academy last week. Till next time xXx
