Duran Duran, Nile Rogers & Chic, Coachella, The Killers in Vegas plus more with Shamir!!!

Hello gorgeous people! Things have been super busy around here lately but extremely exciting, I can't wait to tell you all about it!

First off, after Shamir's support tour for YouTube sensation Troye Sivan in March, we were straight back on the road in April supporting Duran Duran on their Paper Gods tour along with the legendary Nile Rogers and Chic! This was our bands (and my) first arena tour and it didn't disappoint!

The 9 date east-coast tour from Florida, across to Washington DC, up to Montreal and finishing in NYC at the legendary Barclays Centre was epic. Our days consisted of long travel days on the tour bus from city to city, getting to venues and catching Nile Rogers and Chic sound-check, then it would be our turn to quickly set up and check before grabbing a bite to eat, then hitting the stage to open the night. Not only were the shows and response from the fans amazing, the hang was awesome! Duran Duran and their crew are the coolest people ever! They made us feel welcome from the start, the banter was great and the Duran guys are such legends, it was amazing to be involved in their tour. And hanging with Nile Rogers and his band Chic backstage was so unbelievable. I was star-struck 100% of the time around Nile haha! Getting to chat with them during dinner and before shows and hearing the incredible amount of wise words and knowledge they had to pass on through their vast experience in the music industry was an eye opener and such an education.

It was an unbelievable opportunity to watch greats and legends perform every night. Both bands had SO many hits, such great music. I felt inspired and invigorated on this tour. By far one of the highlights of my career so far.

We opened the new Vegas arena! We flew in for the show half way through the Duran tour. The night was also headlined by The Killers! Being the first band to play at the arena was awesome and a moment for us all as well, especially for Shamir who grew up in North Vegas. The day was pretty epic, starting early flying from the east coast after a Duran show, getting in early for sound check and then playing in the evening before flying back that night to reunite with the tour for the show the next day. It was an epic experience. The arena is massive & beautiful! We even managed to get a game of Roulette in :P

Coachella was a huge deal and something we'd been looking forward to for a long time. We weren't disappointed. To be there both weekends was amazing, the festival is by far the most crazy one we've played in terms of how many artists and people were working backstage and how big the grounds were. But it was so fun and we brought the party, playing at midnight closing out Saturday night! It was hot, humid and dusty in the desert. I put flowers in my hair and definitely made the most of it, hanging out and seeing other bands play too was fun! Some bands we saw were Halsey, Disclosure with Sam Smith, The 1975 were my favourite!..., Sia, Guns' N' Roses...all incredible performers.

Since all the epicness in April, we've been playing one off fly-date shows. We recently played Bonnaroo, Sweet Life festival, Sasquatch, Bulladora and LA Pride to name a few. I always wanted to play more festivals since I got my first taste of them 4/5 years ago. I can't say that this past year and a half has disappointed, many bucket list's have been checked and I've had the pleasure of doing it with great musicians and friends. Now looking forward to Pitchfork festival with Shamir next month in Chicago and till then I'll be hanging out making music in LA. xXx
